Local Flavor

BlueIvy Communications knows the importance of spotlighting businesses in the local community, even when promoting an international event as globally recognized as the ATP Tour. Our media coverage included the Delray Beach Open’s partnerships with local businesses alongside the event’s national sponsors to bring to the forefront all the community has to offer during the week-long event.

The team at BlueIvy also believed this was an opportunity to highlight South Florida and Delray Beach Open affiliated leaders who contribute to the athletic and community spirit that the Delray Beach Open brings to our area year after year.

In 2021, faced with pandemic restrictions and a last-minute date change, BlueIvy quickly pivoted to not only be prepared to roll-out its communications strategy one-month early but also to emphasize DBO’s focus on safety and social distancing at the event. BlueIvy secured media placements that detailed how the event would handle seating, safety and creating a “bubble” for the athletes and other participants to ensure everyone’s health was of the utmost importance. As a result, the Delray Beach Open met its attendance goals in the most difficult circumstances and received positive coverage with multiple placements in all local media.
